The Dhaba

The Dhaba is an Indian Punjabi roadside stop. A place to rest, refuel, and feel human. That spirit is where we began. Dhaba is stewarded by the Punhani family, Indian immigrants in New Jersey, always on the move, always building, usually far from home. They wanted to create the place they were always looking for - something familiar and comforting. A sense of home. Today, that's what Dhaba offers. Whether you're passing through or staying awhile, Dhaba is your pit stop. There's a Punjabi saying, "the way to the heart is through the stomach". Dhaba is about what you're offered - warmth, welcome, and honest food. For the driver and the dreamer, the local and the visitor. For those in between. Wherever you're coming from, wherever you're headed, you're home at Dhaba.
